An internal link allows you to link to another section on the same web page, so it basically scrolls the page up or down to the desired location. Internal links are links that go from one page on a domain to a different page on the same domain. They are commonly used in main navigation.

Internal links are links that go from one page to a domain to a different page on the same domain. They are commonly used in main navigation.

These type of links are useful for three reasons:

1. They allow users to navigate a website.
2. They help establish information hierarchy for the given website.
3. They help spread link juice (ranking power) around websites.

An inward connection is a sort of hyperlink on a site page to another page or asset, for example, a picture or report, on a similar site or area. Hyperlinks are considered either "outer" or "interior" contingent upon their objective or goal.

An internal link is a type of hyperlink on a webpage to another page or resource, such as an image or document, on the same website or domain. Hyperlinks are considered either "external" or "internal" depending on their target or destination. Generally, a link to a page outside the same domain or website is considered external, whereas one that points at another section of the same webpage or to another page of the same website or domain is considered internal.
