I think search algorithm of google is much better than all other search engines.

Google may have come first but so did lots of other products and people were still able to replace them.
But, Bing didn't really have anything new to offer. No great tools, no better service or atmosphere compared to Google. Not really any convincing advertising.

I think people go straight to Google without giving the decision much thought. Google is synonymous with search. You almost never hear someone says "Bing it" but "Google it" is very commonly used. For a long time, Google was the best search engine, and Bing didn't even come along until Google's dominance was firmly established. When something is that ingrained in people, it's extremely hard to change their minds.

Google is more successful because their algorithm is better than Bing's. Subsequently, Google's guru 's have also mastered the search engine market referencing the advertising idea known as branding. What I mean is what rankindia posted yesterday that everyone uses the term "Google it". "Google it" has become part of our computer lingo and how strange does seem to say "Bing it"

Google is most successful search engine due to it's perfect search algorithm. Moreover google has provided many other tools like analytics etc to boost it's popularity.

Bing is actually a good search engine, but people don't BELIEVE that it is, because they are too accustomed to Google and because no one is sitting there thinking that their current search engine doesn't have enough features. MS gets this wrong in every aspect of their marketing.

Bing is also actually a good search engine.But the thing about google is that its user interface is much better than bing .Also search algorithm of google is much better. Bing doesnt provide tools as much as google does.

Imagine it as a race. Google has a very good head start. Google has its code on a very large amount of websites through analytics, AdWords.

But mainly, it is the head start they have is playing in favour of Google. Nobody wants to fix something that is working fine.
