Adding your web pages in the Google search is nothing but the web indexing. Web crawler used to submit the web pages for indexing. The search engine used to collect, parses and stores data for use by the search engine.

There are many different parts to a search engine index, such as design factors and data structures. The design factors of a search engine index design or outline the architecture of the index and decide how the index actually works. The parts all combine to create the working search engine index, and include:

When you would like to display your web-page/website when you enter it's name in Google search box that time you should perform the indexing.

An index is another name for the database used by a search engine. Indexes contain the information on all the websites that Google (or any other search engine) was able to find.

A list is another name for the database utilized by an internet searcher. Records contain the data on every one of the sites that Google (or some other internet searcher) could discover. In the event that a site isn't in a web crawler's list, clients won't have the capacity to discover it.

In order for your site's contents to be included in the results of your custom search engine, they need to be included in the Google index. The Google index is similar to an index in a library, which lists information about all the books the library has available. However, instead of books, the Google index lists all of the webpages that Google knows about. When Google visits your site, it detects new and updated pages and updates the Google index.

Indexing is the process of creating indexes for record collections. Having indexes allows researchers to more quickly find records for specific individuals; without them, researchers might have to look through hundreds or thousands of records to locate an individual record.

Website indexing means search engines look in to your website and list your website in their online search engine. Type your website url in that online search engine to check your website indexed or not. Search engines have extremely large indexes which hold a copy of all of the WebPages they have crawled and chosen to add to their index.

Indexing starts when the crawling process gets over during a search. Google uses crawling to collect pages relevant to the search queries, and creates index that includes specific words, or search terms and their locations. search engines answer queries of the users by looking up to the index and showing the most appropriate pages.
