How to properly delete a page from your site..?

First you have to delete a page & use 301 redirect to move it on homepage.

You can delete the page from the control panel of your web-hosting provider. Once done then add the redirection so there won't be any issue while indexing that page in Google. You should add the 301 redirect.

Open your website in Google Sites.
Click the page you want to delete. If you delete a page, you also delete its attachments, comments, and child pages.
Click More actions Delete page.
Click Delete.
