Doorways are website pages created to rank very much for particular search queries. They are bad for customers because they can lead to multiple similar pages in user search results, where each result ends up taking the user to essentially the same destination. They can also lead users to intermediate pages that are not as useful as the final destination.

Doorways pages are the simple HTML pages which are visible only by specific search engine and spiders. Those are limited to only few keywords and phrases. These pages used to make your website on the top rank but only for the saturated time. It is bad SEO technique. Search engines spiders are becoming more intuitive, and these pages can be ignored, or even banned altogether. If you’re willing to do that for doorway pages, an unethical and short-sighted way to approach search engine optimization, then you might as well optimize your site for search the right way.

A doorway page is simply a web page specially designed as an entrance to a website. The doorway page is one way to get your website presenting one face to the spider while another to human viewers.

Doorways are sites or pages created to rank highly for specific search queries. They are bad for users because they can lead to multiple similar pages in user search results, where each result ends up taking the user to essentially the same destination. They can also lead users to intermediate pages that are not as useful as the final destination.
Here are some examples of doorways:
* Having multiple domain names or pages targeted at specific regions or cities that funnel users to one page
* Pages generated to funnel visitors into the actual usable or relevant portion of your site(s)
* Substantially similar pages that are closer to search results than a clearly defined, browseable hierarchy.
