How do you check if a site has been submitted to directories?

I have a site which has long been inactive. But I have recently revived it. I mean I redesigned it and started posting on it. I wasn't sure if I have submitted the site to directories.

How do you check if a site has already been submitted. If not what is the best way to submit it to different directories?

When you submit it again, it showing already existing message because one website URL can be submitted only once on directory sites.

There are various tools which will help you to submit the site for the directories. When you will resubmit the site, you will get notification as site is already submitted.
