Referral traffic is refer as the web traffic which used to come from the outside of search engine. If you have added hyperlink on the other site to visit the pages on your website and if someone clicks on it then it is called as referral traffic. Website on which the link is added is called as referral site while other site is called destination site.

These can be paid service or free service. You can consider the social media for it. It is the best option to increase the traffic on your website.
