Banned sounds like pushed into Google Sandbox. It is not certain when you will be out of this.

you are asking for what should we do if our website is banned. Then try to find why your site is banned from Google Search Console and penguin tool for knowing the actual reason; if you have done duplicate content for website, try to put fresh quality content; if you done too much keyword stuffing then try to check content; if you done link building on bad site then try to remove links from disavow tool.

You will need to re-do your SEO process and remove the harmful backlinks for your website

First of all never apply Black Hat SEO techniques to your website. Because you may get instant result but when Google catch your website, it will definitely banned your website from search result.

Now, if your website is banned for black hat practice, then you must remove all the backlinks you get through black hat practice and made some change to your website’s content and then again submit your site to Google/search engines. If you are lucky then Google might withdraw your ban.

Remove spam backlinks from your website using Google Disavow tool and implement White Hat SEO techniques to get your website unbanned by search engines.
