What will be the consequences if SSL does not get installed on a website? Will this also impact the SEO?

Google has officially announced that they will rank https websites higher. Chrome and Firefox already warns users of non-https websites. Maybe, at a later time, they might block it as well. Mainly because adding SSL is free and easy these days with AutoSSL, Let'sEncrypt etc
