"We've recently launched new Data Retention controls that may affect your data starting May 25, 2018. Please contact your Account Administrator to have them review your settings."

It is related to GDPR. They might have changed their policy about storing data related to you on their servers

The Google Analytics Data Retention controls give you the ability to set the amount of time before user-level and event-level data stored by Google Analytics is automatically deleted from Analytics’ servers.

Data Retention in Google Analytics refers to the length of time that data is kept in your Google Analytics account. This setting controls how long data will be stored before it's automatically deleted. With the new Data Retention controls, you can specify how long you want to retain your data and choose whether to automatically delete data after a specified period. It's important to review your Data Retention settings to ensure that you're meeting your organization's data retention requirements. You can access the Data Retention controls by navigating to the "Admin" section in your Google Analytics account and clicking on the "Tracking Info" tab. From there, you can choose to retain data for a set period of time (e.g., 14 months) or indefinitely. As somebody here earlier said it is related to GDPR, so better read some informative topics or read article (https://www.privasee.io/blog) I will leave you.
