I think it is 5000 characters including spaces.

YouTube allows up to 5000 characters. But optimal length would be 100 words. This what SEO guys say. It is always nice to go too long and become unreadble

You can add max. 2000 characters for YouTube videos description.

It's around Approximately 4500 characters (including spaces).

Maximum 5000 characters are allowed for the Youtube description but it includes the spaces.
