It depends on how you like to work as a web designer noteppad ++ is indeed a very valuable tool fast and well supported in the web developer community.
Some people however prefer visual builders something like Dreamweaver ( especially if you are only doing static websites. ) I would say though that Dreamweaver is slower than notepad.
