Impression means how many time your web pages appear in the Search Results. Clicks mean how many user click on your ad or snippet in the Search Results.

An impression is counted each time your ad is shown on a search result page or other site on the Google Network. Each time your ad appears on Google or the Google Network, it's counted as one impression.

when you see the ads within your viewport but not make any click. That is called as impression. But if you see ads and make clicks, this is called click. Impressions are how many times your ad was shown.

Many clicks counted only one time hit while impression count separately.
