An ad group contains one or more ads which target a shared set of keywords. You set a bid, or price, to be used when an ad group's keywords trigger an ad to appear. This is called a cost-per-click (CPC) bid. You can also set prices for individual keywords within the ad group.

An ad group can be compared to a 'folder' within an Google AdWords or PPC advertising campaign. It usually contains related keywords or phrases with multiple match types, as well as one or more advertisements, negative keywords, placements, topics and/or target groups.

An ad group is a container for your AdWords advertisements, keywords, and landing pages. Google tends to reward advertisers who create AdWords campaigns with tightly structured ad groups. It's important not to dump all your keywords into the same ad group, but to organize your keywords into themes.

An ad group is a container for your AdWords advertisements, keywords, and landing pages. There are no realistic limitations on the number of ads or keywords in an ad group. An ad group can have multiple keywords and multiple ads.

The most important thing to understand about an ad group is that only the keywords in a particular group can trigger ads in that group. In the case of multiple ads, Google, based on relevancy and performance, shows the best of all the ads in that ad group.

Ad Group is categorizing similar ads and putting them in one group. For example: Tops and Tshirts for Women is an ad group and Tshirts and Shirts for Men in another ad Group
