As a rule of thumb, a bounce rate in the range of 26 to 40 percent is excellent. 41 to 55 percent is roughly average. 56 to 70 percent is higher than average, but may not be cause for alarm depending on the website.

Bounce rate (sometimes confused with exit rate) is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave ("bounce") rather than continuing to view other pages within the same site

Anything over 70 percent is disappointing for everything outside of blogs, news, events, etc.

Bounce rates from 25% to 30% are most likely as low as you’ll see them with everything working correctly.

You should try to have a bounce rate in the range of 26 to 40 percent, which is excellent. But below 50 is bad which will indirectly affect your ranking.
So 26-40 is optimal bounce rate for website.

As a standard guideline, a bounce rate in the scope of 26 to 40 percent is phenomenal. 41 to 55 percent is generally reasonable. 56 to 70 percent is higher than usual, yet may not be a reason to get excited relying upon the site. Anything more than 70 percent is disillusioning.

As a broad rule of thumb, you're aiming for a website bounce rate of under 40%. Between 40% and 55% is usually okay, while 55-65% shows significant room for improvement. If your bounce rate is above 90% or below 20%, that often indicates a tracking or code installation error.
