Indexing means the content page is eligible to show up on Google SERP.
Crawling is a process which is done by search engine bots to discover publicly available web pages.

Crawling is Googlebot visiting your site to discover the pages in your site and to determine the relevancy of your page according to the topic it relates to. You should view your search console reports to see if there is any crawl issues with your site and implement any fixes if required. You can also see the crawl rate and time spent on your site via search console.

FYI to get Googlebot to crawl your site more often implement off-page SEO i.e. link building and promotion from other relevant high authority sites. Doing so will ensure that Googlebot will crawl your site more often.

Indexing is when Googlebot has crawled your site and then includes it within its database of websites on the net. Again you can see the indexed URL's that Google sees via your search console report. It will also show if there any erros that need to be addressed etc. The higher the crawl rate the more likly hood that all your URL's will be included with the google search databse of site.

Crawling:

When Google visits your website for tracking purposes. This process is done by Google’s Spider crawler.
Indexing:

After crawling has been done, the results get put onto Google’s index (i.e. web search).
