Legionbox.com (https://legionbox.com/dedicated-servers/) and junedataplace.com (http://www.junedataplace.com/dedicated-servers.php) servers are nice for me and need to know which plan would be the best for hosting a forum?

Try to look at cloudarion.com dedicated hosting (http://cloudarion.com/dedicated-servers/) packages (Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Usa).
It's true, many people aren't aware of how inexpensive web hosting is. The key is finding a web hosting company that can provide excellent customer support.

Not I think of having a deal with one of these hosts: kvchosting.net or hosting.uk, so which one would you advise me to try? What do you think?

Servers from hostingsource.com and kvchosting.net are worth trying.
Their support usually you do not have to wait more than 10 minutes. The way they handle problems and solutions is very professional, I highly recommend them!
Just choose the host that suits your needs and provides constant and uninterrupted services and support.
Try considering these web hosts and their low-cost dedicated servers:
- DataPacket.net (http://www.DataPacket.net)
- Inmotionhosting.com (http://www.Inmotionhosting.com)
- Cloudarion.com (http://www.Cloudarion.com)
Well the reliability is very important to compete and maintain customer relations. Just read reviews about them.

I have no idea about these two servers but you can research server specs based on the applications you plan to run and also, calculate your budget then select the server type.

You can choose any one of the above but always make sure before the choosing a server or server hosting provider. There are some important point which always you should mind:
1. Data Security
2. Privacy Policy
3. Data Center of your provider
4. Liability
5. How much they are old in niche services

If it's just a forum - it'll depend of the amount of active users, in most cases - VPS will be just fine.
