Exit Rate is the percentage that was the last in the session. For all sessions that start with the page, Bounce Rate is the percentage that was the only one of the session. Bounce Rate for a page is based only on sessions that start with that page.

It is the percentage of the visits that were last in the session.

The formula for Calculating Exit Rate:

Re= (Te/Tv)*100, where Re stands for Exit Rate, Te stands for a Total number of the exit of the page, Tv stands for Total numbers of visits to the page.

Exit rate is a very important metrics that can help you fine tune your SEO strategy and achieve better conversion and ROI for your business. In Absolute sense, its matrix that tells you what percentage of your site visitors exit off your website from that particular page.
When you notice high exit rate, that means there is something that triggers exit for the users and if you can find that or make it right, your exit rate should fall.
