Do-follow links can be followed by all search engines. Do follow link pass the link juice as well as backlink. So if your site is getting do-follow links from another site, it is a good sign and it can improve the keyword position as well.

No-follow links can't be followed by any of the search engine crawlers and they don't pass the link juice. Most of the links are no follow in SEO off page activities.

Rel=”Nofollow” is used to set link as no follow. by default all the links are do-follow.

Dofollow links allow google (all search engines) to follow them and reach our website. Giving us link juice and a backlink. If a webmaster is linking back to you with this link both Search Engine and Humans will be able to follow you. The best way to give someone dofollow love is allowing keyword in the anchor text.
“Nofollow” provides a way for webmasters to tell search engines “Don’t follow links on this page” or “Don’t follow this specific link.” Originally, the nofollow attribute.
