You can use windows inbuilt remote desktop connection tool and then use the hard drives on other's computer to do the file transfer between you and the remote computer.

For starting remote assistance on your PC.

Step 1 – Press windows key + r to open run.

Step 2 – Now, write msra in it and hit enter.

Rest of the process is self guiding and easy.

- Files can be transferred to the server by using the FTP protocol also known as File Transfer Protocol. - FTP is used as a standard network protocol that transfers the file from one computer to another computer using the TCP protocol network.

You could use third party FTP tools to log into the server and transfer files from your local machine to it.

Is the server Linux based or Windows?

FTP is also frequently used as a way to transfer web pages. FTP allows new web pages created by an individual to show up on the Internet. FTP essentially transfers these web page files to the computer server so others can access them. FTP can also be used to download files or programs from the Internet to your computer. When you download these files, you are transferring them from other servers through FTP.

Hi Tony,

If you are asking to transfer file from your local system to server, then you can use FTP method, which is easy and very convenient. you just need to configure your server as ftp server and just create ftp account then you can connect with that FTP account using any FTP client like FileZilla etc..

And if you are asking to transfer any file or folder from one server to other server, then you can use rsync method which is very famous and easy. Use below command to transfer file from one server to other server.

rsync -avh filename.txt root@destination_serverIP:/destination_path/

There are some ways:
1. Files can be transferred to the server by using the FTP protocol which is also called file transfer protocol.
2. FTP is used as a standard network protocol that moves from the file from one computer to another computer by using the TCP protocol network.
3. This will upload the pages and many other documents that are stored in private disk to the public web hosting server.
4. FTP is used on the client-server architecture that permits different controls also data connections in the middle of the client and the server.
5. FTP uses the clear-text sign-in protocol that permit the client to use the user name and password.

This much from my side hope this will help you. Thanks.
