Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). A Domain Authority score ranges from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater ability to rank.

Domain Authority is calculated by evaluating linking root domains, number of total links, MozRank, MozTrust, etc. — into a single DA score. This score can then be used when comparing websites or tracking the "ranking strength" of a website over time.

Domain authority is the measure of strength and popularity of your domain in search engines. It is measured by Moz and your domain is ranked between 0 to100 depending on the popularity and trust. DA can be improved by good content update and also by building backlinks from other relevant domains.

In response to the opening thread, as others have already stated domain authority is one of the industry standards many use when we talk about SEO and ranking on the search engines. It is considered by many, including Moz, as a ranking score that describes the relevance of a website for a particular subject area.

If you want more new info about domain authority than I would advise to check out:

Domain authority is the parameter organized by the Moz which indicates how well your website is going on. It is calculated as out of 100. For example, if your website DA is 80 then it is good and if it is 20 or 30 then you need to do proper SEO activity for your website.

For check the DA of the website, you can open the Moz website and then go for the link explorer tool or can download the mozbar addon.

The domain authority (Domain Authority or DA) is a measure of the strength of a website that was created by the company Moz . On a scale of 0 to 100, the higher your score on this scale, the more strongly your site is considered by Google, the better the chances of your website being ranked well in Google's search results.
