Can anyone tell me any tips for promoting a new WordPress plugin?

We released a WordPress plugin called WPvivid Backup/Restore (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpvivid-backuprestore/). It is a free backup plugin and available to download from WordPress backup plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpvivid-backuprestore/).

It is our first plugin and we don’t have any experience about promoting a new WordPress plugin. So I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to let more people know about a brand new WordPress plugin.

Any tips and advices are welcome and highly appreciated.

Offer a FREE trial version. Beleive us it is a good start to offer free version. ...
Submit plugin to WordPress repository. If you have some free limited version of your plugin (now you understand why it is crucial), this is a must!
Submit plugin to other directories.
