HTTPS/SSL update is a process for transferring HTTP based website to HTTPS or else you can say to install SSL/TLS Certificate on a website. Apart from this also go through this question, “Is it worth the effort if I launch my website as an HTTPS site versus a non-HTTPS site right from the start?” so you can get an idea how it can make a difference if the website is on HTTPS right from the beginning itself rather compared to those who aren’t.

The 'S' at the end of HTTPS stands for 'Secure'. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted.
