Google has automated software which visits your website, otherwise known as the Google Spider or Googlebot. It's this software that determines how your website should be listed.
When the spider visits your website it only sees the code of the site. To see the code of your website (or ours), try clicking your right mouse button and selecting "View Source".
If your website's code is badly written, then it makes it very hard for the Googlebot to understand it and Google will have no choice but to list you badly.
