A broken link or dead link is a link on a web page that no longer works because the website is encountering one or more of the reasons below. An improper URL entered for the link by the website owner. The destination website removed the linked web page (causing what is known as a 404 error)

Broken Links are the links in a web page that is not leading to anywhere when clicked. Most of the time those links refer to pages that were removed.

Broken links are links which no more exists from the webpage it was built. These links are harmful for your website and should be recovered immediately.

Broken links are pages which don't exist in website. pages either no longer available or removed from website called broken links. this is HTML error and code is 404 error page.

Broken links are not only bad for user experience but can also be harmful to your site's loving relationship with Google, i.e. your SEO. Avoid linking out to broken content, and also avoid having pages on your site that are broken.

A broken link is a webpage that can't be accessed when it's clicked but it throws an error message. Some of these errors code may be 404 Page Not Found, 400 Bad Request, and so on.

Broken link building is a tactic whereby you find a broken (i.e., dead) link, recreate the dead content, then tell anyone linking to the dead resource to instead link to your recreated content.

link from website which was earlier before and now not in existence comes under broken links.
