Keyword usage should be natural. You can tell that this post is about the number of times you should use a keyword in a blog post, but you don't see me mentioning an exact phrase related to that 20 times throughout the post.

There is one term which is used for keyword optimization i.e Keyword density

KD= no. of times keyword used on page/no. of words on page x 100

Safe and recommended keyword density is 2–4%

Using more than 5% keyword density is dangerous for Google SEO.

You can use these tools for analyzing keywords like

Keyword density should not be more than 4% for a page and if possible use your keywords in H1 and H2.

certainly do not believe there is a particular percent of keywords in words of text to get a page to number 1 in Google. While the key to success in many niches is often simple SEO, search engines are not that easy to fool in 2019.

There may not be a perfect % for you to aim for – but I do think you run the risk of tripping keyword stuffing penalty filters if you, for instance, were to keyword stuff a page and every element on it with your focus terms.
