An exit survey is the type of survey you show visitors when they are about to leave your website. For example, you can make the survey pop up when a visitor moves their mouse cursor upwards and towards their browser toolbar. This is usually the moment that people leave your site.

Anyone have a process for how they handle things when a member cancels their membership you want to share? We’ve tried offering to buy the person a cup of coffee / meal so we can chat to understand what changed for them, but our invitation is rarely accepted. Does anyone send a exit survey and, if so, what do you ask? Have responses have helped you identify ways to improve?

We’re thinking of a 4 question survey:

Why did you join Cowork Frederick? (What were you looking for?)

Why are you leaving? (Did you not find it?)

Could we have done something differently to change that?

If you were joining today, knowing what you know now, is there something you would do differently?

There are several tools that allow you to create a survey like this. We’re currently using Hotjar, but we’re planning to create our own design and implement it with Google Tag Manager. Other tools we know for setting up online surveys are:

Hotjar
SurveyMonkey
Mopinion

On their sites, they offer a clear explanation of how to use these tools to perform an exit survey.

When an employee leaves your company, it's important to find out why. Exit surveys are designed to help employers build more attractive and fruitful work.

Intersting, hmm, I didn't even hear about this kind of surveys. Once I was looking for how to earn without leaving home and without spending a lot of time. I came across one site that gives a detailed analysis of reliable sites offering earnings on social surveys on the Internet. I was confused, however I decided to try. Just for a week of rest I earned about 200$, considering the time and "work" itself. That was pretty much money, but I almost did nothing, I strongly recommend trying and get paid to take surveys (https://yourmoneygeek.com/surveys-for-money/)!

An exit interview is a survey conducted with an individual who is separating from an organization or relationship. Most commonly, this occurs between an employee and an organization, a student and an educational institution, or a member and an association.
