Hello,
After 50-60 characters Google shortens your title. You want your most compelling info in the title to be readable and not truncated, so it should be written clearly before the character limit.

No, if you exceeded the character limit - Google will read only 60 characters.

Here are some title tag facts as i see them

After 50-60 characters Google shortens your title.
You want your most compelling info in the title to be readable and not truncated, so it should be written clearly before the character limit.
Most important keywords should be used used as close to the start of the title as possible.
My question is: Does Google still index the words after 50-60 chars? Many SEO graders make such a big deal about length and i am wondering if they are wrong.

Hi Friends,
As long as it looks good in SERP and hosts your target keyword you're good.

Yes, google will cut the title at 512px or around 50-60 characters, but if the main information fits within the limit you're good. Plus google still reads and accounts for the rest of your title. Sometimes, shortened title ca even improve CTR, it can work like a click bait title. Think of something like: Best practices for titles are keeping them under 60 chars, adding your keyword

Yes it matters. A title tag should be around 60 characters as Google only crawls 60 character for titles.

Optimal title length. Google typically displays the first 50–60 characters of a title tag. If you keep your titles under 60 characters, our research suggests that you can expect about 90% of your titles to display properly.

How Important is Title Tag Length for SEO? The importance of the title tag as an on-page ranking factor is well-known to anyone with even passing familiarity with SEO. While the substance of a page's content is still king of the ranking factors, its title is its name tag.

Title tag must be unique, according to your page content and must be within 65–70 characters. Your title must contain your target keywords too.
