Paid DOES NOT DIRECTLY affect organic rankings
That must be why they're ranking better in the organic results." None of that is true. So there's a bunch of protections in place. They have a real wall at Google between the paid side and the organic side.

PPC (Pay Per Click) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and two very different concepts and they should not be confused with each other.

One is paid advertising and the other is a set of techniques which are used to increase the organic ranking of your website. Starting PPC Campaigns will not affect your website’s organic ranking among the searches.

However, having good on-page SEO for your landing page will increase your Ad-rank which will in turn improve the ranking of your ad among the ads that will be displayed.

It is a long-term process but is very essential for a website.
