We are at 4 years since ARIN ran out of IPv4. The transition to IPv6 is not that fast paced. We were lucky to get our first block in Feb but that was after a considerable wait.
So any predictors of when IPv4 won't matter any more. There is no shortage of IPv6, it is just not fully adopted at the moment.
