404 errors should not be confused with DNS errors, which appear when the given URL refers to a server name that does not exist. A 404 error indicates that the server itself was found, but that the server was not able to retrieve the requested page.

You should redirect 404 error webpages to another working page.

The simplest and easiest way to fix your 404 error code is to redirect the page to another one. You can perform this task using a 301 redirect. What's 301, you may ask? It's a redirect response code that signals a browser that the content has been transferred to another URL.

If it's your site, make the 404 pages active again or redirect it to another page.

Hi Friends,
The 404 Not Found error message may be an (HTTP) normal response code, in computer network communications, that server not be able to find request page.
You can fix 404 error by these 4 ways:
1. Retry the webpage page by pressing F5, clicking/tapping the refresh/reload button, or attempting the computer address from the address bar once more.
2. Check for errors within the computer address.
3. Move up one directory level at a time within the computer address till you discover one thing.
4. Search for the page from a popular search engine.
