Hi Friends,
Posts are for timely content. They have a publish date and are displayed in reverse chronological order on your blog page. They're what you should think of when you hear the term “blog post”. Pages are for static, timeless content.

The main difference between posts and pages is following
You have to need a category to handly a post and there is no need for any category to handle pages.

Pages do not have published date since the information on the pages is static and timeless in nature. Posts are blog entries — or articles—that are displayed in chronological order on your homepage, typically with the newest post at the top.

post is like a blog need updation timely as per time and date & Page are the Information & history about any thing that never changes it is static but post Information could be the change
