The best and most effective way to resolve the canonical issue is with a permanent 301 redirect.

With 301 redirects, this can be resolved depending on what server your website is hosted on will determine the method which you use to implement a redirect.

A canonical issue arises when 301 redirects are not properly in place. This means that your website can be accessed by search engines from several different URLs. This means that search engines can then potentially index your site under different URLs, meaning that it will look like a site of duplicated content.

A canonical issue will occur when the webpages are not redirect in the way of correct path and correct location of 301 redirection. So Try to redirect the 301 pages to correct path pages.

There are two main ways to fix canonical issues on a website: by implementing 301 redirects, and/or by adding canonical tags to your site's pages to tell Google which of several similar pages is preferred. The right option depends on the canonical issue you're trying to resolve.
