An ad group contains one or more ads that share similar targets. You set a bid, or price, to be used when an ad group's keywords trigger an ad to appear. This is called a cost-per-click (CPC) bid. You can also set prices for individual keywords within the ad group.

Ad Group in Google AdWords includes one or more ads that share similar targets. A set of ads and keywords that are associated with each other are housed under an Ad Group.

Ad group is a vessel of your keywords, advertisements, and landing pages. If one prepares AdWord campaigns that are properly structured then Google also rewards those advertisers.
