The main difference between sub-domains and sub-folders is that subdomain should be something different than main domain and subfolder is a part of the main folder. ... So if you have one domain with different subdomains, each of them is treated differently by Google.

Hi friends,
The subdirectory strategy concentrates your keywords onto a single domain while the subdomain strategy spreads your keywords across multiple distinct domains. In a word, the subdirectory strategy results in better root domain authority.

There is a major difference between domain and subdomain that subdomain is a part of the primary domain. It is not your actual domain of the website. Primary domain is known as a root domain of website and subdomain is a depend upon your root domain.

As you all should know that search engines keep different metrics for domains than , it is recommended that webmasters place link-worthy content like blogs in subfolders rather than subdomains.

A subfolder is similar to a subdomain in that it allows you to create categories of content, but they are set up differently on servers. Unlike subdomains, there is no server partitioning involved with subfolders. A subfolder is housed on the same server and any of its link juice goes back to the domain.
