General directory submission is not suggestable for link building as most of the directory sites are low quality websites. ... Local directory submission is good for local seo and it helps you to rank high in Google map results as well as in Organic results.

Directory Submission nowadays doesnt provide much value as many of them are of low quality. Instead of the Directory submission you can do Profile and classified submission on high DA website.
