“Unique visitors” refers to the actual number of people (well, sort of, more on that in a bit) who have come to your website or webpage at least once during a reporting period — this number does not increase if a previous visitor returns to a page multiple times.

Hi Friends,
Unique visitor is a term used in Web analytics to refer to a person who visits a site at least once within the reporting period. Each visitor to the site is only counted once during the reporting period, so if the same IP address accesses the site the site many times, it still only counts as one visitor.

unique visitors is that this underpins measurement of repeat visitors. A repeat visitor is a unique visitor who has been to the site more than once. Understanding your repeat visitors is where the money is

Unique visitors refers to the number of distinct individuals requesting pages from the website during a given period, regardless of how often they visit. When an individual goes to a website on Tuesday, then again on Wednesday, this is recorded as two visits from one visitor

Typically (in web analytics world), a unique visitor is a user who accesses the website and is uniquely identified by a first-party cookie. As the cookie storage is not shared across your web browsers, you can think of unique visitor as a ‘unique browser’ (if you access the same website with two different browsers, it will count you as two unique visitors).

In marketing, unique visitors defines a metric that counts the number of distinct individuals visiting a page or multiple pages on your website, in a given time interval, regardless of how often they requested those pages. For example, if a user visits a page and then browses through 2 other pages, leaves your website and returns to see more pages, he is counted as a single individual user (“unique visitor”). This metric is different than the number of visits, which shows how many times your pages are visited, regardless of how many visitors land on your website.
