Metrics I track on a daily basis - traffic & conversions. I'll take a look at rankings too but high rankings don't necessarily equate to traffic/conversions.

Here are a few things I work on throughout the day - keep in mind that it is almost never limited to this list:

- Checking Google Webmaster Tools for any crawl errors, sitemap issues, site speed issues, and more.
- Keyword research and analysis
- Competitive research
- Read up on search marketing news
- Work with content team on optimizing content
- Creating linkworthy content(infographics, widgets, videos, contests, how to guides, etc.)
