How do I make my website searchable?

It seems strange that after so many posts on this forum @op don't know to make the website searchable on google!!

In the Admin Panel, click on Settings > Reading.
Or click on the Search Engines Discouraged link in the Admin bar to go there directly.
Look for Search Engine Visibility.
Uncheck “Discourage search engines from indexing this site.”
Click Save Changes.
