PageRank (PR) is a calculation, famously invented by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, which evaluates the quality and quantity of links to a webpage to determine a relative score of that page's importance and authority on a 0 to 10 scale.

Hi Friends,

PageRank is Google's technology for rating the importance and quality of a web page. It is one of the variables used by Google to determine how high your site will be placed in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERP).

The PageRank of a website is represented by a number from one to ten. The higher the number, the more important the website is.

Google page rank is the measure of popularity of your webpage in search engines. It is of no value today as Google has stopped updating their algorithm.

Google indexes millions of pages daily, but for a particular keyword it has to rank all the indexed pages in a row, thats nothing but Google search results. Now before all that happens, when google crawls a page it decides what is the page is all about and checks the relevancy parameters and for what keywords it has to show the page to the users, in short it determines the importance of the page. In this procedure, Google ranks a page based on its importance and relevancy of the keywords. So that it is easy for showing the results and rank your page on google results.
So that ranking system is nothing but Google PageRank, now a page can have rank from n/a , 0-10 where 0 is least, 10 being highest and n/a being not yet ranked by the Google.
Google ranking parameters are about 200 and more, PageRank rank is one of them and even the strongest parameters we can say.

Page Rank is given to a website with a number between 0 to 10; the higher the number the better for your website. Now realize, page rank is not everything in SEO, but it does give you an idea of what Google thinks of your website.
