Hi Friends,
Page speed refers to how fast your site loads for a user, something Google takes into account while ranking websites since a faster loading page directly translate to better user experience. If the interviewer asks what you would do to increase page speed, describe how you’ve achieved this in the past with examples such as reducing image sizes, enabling compression, reducing redirects, removing render-blocking JavaScript, leveraging browser caching, improve server response time, using a content distribution network to compress files, optimizing the code, etc.

Hi Friends,
Page speed is a measurement of how fast the content on your page loads. People get confused often in between 'Page speed' and 'Website Speed'. Page speed is the actual "Page load time(the time it takes to fully display the content on a specific page)" or "time to the first byte" (how long it takes for your browser to receive the first byte of information from the web server). Page speed is the most important user experience thing in SEO while building a website. Technically, pages with a longer load time tend to have higher bounce rates and lower average time on page. Even if the load time is longer then also it will be shown in Google analytics to negatively affect conversions.

Prospect customers and new visitors love to explore a website that loads fast. If you website or webpage loads slowly, most of your visitors will give up and will find another website that has a better performance and services. On the other hand, a visitor who exits from your website will cause a high percentage of Bounce Rate.

Page speed is important to users because, well, faster pages are more efficient. Per a recent Kissmetrics infographic, if a page takes longer than 3 seconds to load, over a quarter of users will click away

Page Speed is calculated from total time taken while loading the webpage.

Often confused with site speed, page speed is the speed of a particular page on a website. It can be defined as either the time taken by a browser to obtain the first byte from a web server or the time a page takes to display all of its content. Google’s Page Speed Insights is a great tool to analyse your page speed.
It matters because everyone likes a page that loads quickly and we all would agree to the fact that pages that load slowly are annoying. And hence Page speed matters a lot to website users which therefore also matters to the website owner.

Page load time is the time taken for a page in your site to open. Technically speaking, this is the speed at which a webpage or media content is downloaded from website hosting servers and displayed on the requesting web browser.
