What is the difference between 301 and 302 redirects? Which one is more effective for SEO purpose?

Hi Friends,
However, search engines handle these types of URL redirects differently - the 302 redirect means that the page has been moved temporarily and other, 301, means that a new page has taken over permanently. Your site may need to determine if one was used by mistake.

301 and 302 both signifies the page has been moved. A 301 redirect means permanently moved whereas 302 redirect means temporary move.

A 301 redirect indicates that the page URL has permanently moved to a new location. A 302 redirect indicates the page URL has temporarily moved to a new location
