DA is more popular, more trusted and more clients know of it. Its fame does make it a bit better - as way too many clients want a high DA link, they don't care about Alexa rank. That doesn't make it better though.

Domain Authority and Alexa both are important for the website. Domain authority helps us to understand how well our website will rank and perform in search engine result pages. Alexa let us know about the traffic and visitors in our website.
In the seo off page activities, we focus on DA and alexa of the website in which we are going to submit our link.

Domain authority is a Moz metrics, not google metrics. It's more important than page rank and measures by link.
