.NET is referred to as a framework which is used for developing software application using different language.
The .net framework consists of class library, which is called Framework Class Library (FCL).
Principle of .net framework is language interoperability, language independent, type safety, portability, security, memory-management and performance.
You can develop windows application, mobile application, web application, IOT application among others.
.NET framework consists of different languages, class libraries and api which help to build different type of applications.
