If you have implemented OG tags in your website and you want to check them. You can go to smallseotools.com and use the OG checker tool. Once you navigate to the website; enter the URL of the website you want the meta og checker tool to check. It will run a check and if it finds the tags it will display them.

The OG description is typically used by the likes of Facebook and Twitter to provide supplementary descriptions for posted links and is normally required if you provide OG data. The meta description provides search engines with a summary of the page contents, sometime used used in search results.

Open Graph is a technology first introduced by Facebook in 2010 that allows integration between Facebook and its user data and a website. ... For example, you could use the og:image tag to specify what image you want Facebook to use when your page is shared.

A degree of control is possible over how information travels from a third-party website to Facebook when a page is shared (or liked, etc.). In order to make this possible, information is sent via Open Graph meta tags in the <head> part of the website’s code.

There are many Open Graph meta tags that provide different information to Facebook. These tags can be added to your pages manually, either directly to the code on the page or through a CMS if fields are available or also Programmatically. Below are the most common Open Graph tags you will encounter with a brief description of each.
og:title – The title of your page, content, object etc. as you would like for it to appear when displayed on Facebook.
og:site_name – the name of your site.
og:description – Perhaps the most important tag. This is the 1-2 sentence snippet that shows up in the post. Write this carefully as this can be the difference between getting clicks or not.
og:type – The type of content. Think of these as categories, hotel, blog, article etc. Click here for a full list of Open Graph types.
og:image – The URL for an image you want to represent the your content. Images must be either PNG, JPEG and GIF formats and at least 50px by 50px.
og:url – This will be the URL that will be associated with your content ie the link.
