Just as the name suggests LMS is a Learning Management System that can track, document & do everything with the educational stuff, videos or tutorials of the same.
Usually, organizations use this to track the course completion or tutorials, download those text transcripts.

A Learning Management System (LMS) is a software application or platform designed to facilitate the management, delivery, and tracking of educational content and training programs. LMSs are widely used in educational institutions, corporations, and various organizations to streamline the process of creating, delivering, and managing learning materials and activities. They offer a centralized and digital environment for instructors, learners, and administrators to interact and engage in educational activities.
Key features of a Learning Management System include:
Course Creation and Content Management: LMSs allow instructors to create and organize courses by uploading various types of content, such as text documents, videos, quizzes, assignments, and multimedia resources.
User Management: Administrators can manage user roles, such as instructors, students, and administrators. They can also create user profiles, track user progress, and enroll users in specific courses.
Enrollment and Access Control: Instructors and administrators can enroll students into specific courses and control access to course materials based on enrollment status and permissions.
Communication Tools: LMSs often provide communication features like discussion forums, messaging, and announcements, allowing instructors and students to interact and collaborate.
Assessment and Grading: LMSs offer tools for creating quizzes, assignments, and exams. Instructors can grade and provide feedback to students within the system.
Progress Tracking: Both instructors and learners can monitor progress through features like completion tracking, grade books, and progress reports.
Reporting and Analytics: LMSs provide data on learner engagement, performance, and course effectiveness through analytics and reporting tools.
Mobile Compatibility: Many modern LMSs are designed to be accessible on various devices, including smartphones and tablets, to accommodate different learning styles and environments.
Integration: LMSs often integrate with other software systems, such as content creation tools, video conferencing platforms, and student information systems.
Customization: Some LMSs offer customization options, allowing institutions to tailor the platform's appearance and functionality to match their branding and specific needs.
Security and Privacy: LMSs prioritize data security and privacy, ensuring that sensitive educational and personal information is protected.
Popular Learning Management Systems include:
Moodle
Blackboard
Canvas
Google Classroom
Schoology
D2L Brightspace
Edmodo
LMSs play a crucial role in modern education and training, making it easier for educators to create engaging content, manage learning experiences, and track student progress in a digital environment.
