And, like I mentioned above. a good link audit also reveals any risky links and shows you how you can improve your strategy. Even if your links aren't at risk, you could still be underperforming.

Much like an on page SEO audit for your website, a link audit evaluates your links to determine if they are optimized to help your site rank for your target keywords.

If a 'good' link is something you'd want to hold on to even if links were no longer a ranking factor it likely means one or more of the following: The link drives good quality traffic to your site. The link drives paying customers to your site. The link increases your site's credibility.
