Keyword density can also be calculated as a specific figure, should you need to. To determine the keyword density of a webpage, simply divide the number of times a given keyword is mentioned by the total number of words on the page – the resulting figure is the keyword density of that page.

To find keyword density, you'll take the number of times you've mentioned your keyword on your page and divide it by the total number of words on the page. You can turn this ratio into a percentage by multiplying your result by 100. In this case, your keyword density is 1.3%

Keyword density tells you how often a search term appears in a text in relation to the total number of words it contains. For example: if a keyword appears three times in a 100 word text the keyword density would be 3%.

Keyword Density is basically the repetition of your targeted keyword on your page. Many of the pages are stuffed with the targeted keywords that are very wrong according to the SEO perspective. A basic percentage is already decided that is good for your SEO i.e. 2.5%.


There are many ways to calculate the Keyword Density on your webpage. But there is a formula that can help you to find eligible keyword density according to the length of your content i.e. ( X / Y ) ∗ 100, where X is how many times you repeated a specific keyword and Y is the total words in the analyzed text. The basic percentage of keyword density that is good according SEO perspective is 2.5%.

High keyword density means when a keyword repeat multiple times, treated as spamming.
