Hi,
We can’t see the actual cost per click only the average CPC but mostly it is lesser than your maximum CPC bid. Every time, when an auction takes place, Google fixes your actual CPC which is required to outrank the ad rank of the next competitor. You don’t normally find this question in any Google AdWords interview questions and answers guide but you should be prepared anyway.

Your actual cost-per-click (actual CPC) is the final amount you're charged for a click. You're often charged less -- sometimes much less -- than your maximum cost-per-click (max. CPC) bid, which is the most you'll typically be charged for a click. Actual CPC is often less than max.

CPC or Cost Per Click is a statistic that indicates how much money an ad publisher has to pay to the PPC company whenever someone clicks on his ad. CPC in Adwords, for example, is determined by many factors such as your customer's interest and bidding for the set of your keywords that is done by your competitors.
CPC means that you pay whenever a person clicks on your message. Advertising has become much more comfortable with services like PPC since the audience that is going to buy your product anyway now can find you in an instant and shorten the whole transaction to a couple of clicks.

The term ‘cost per click’ (also cost-per-click, or CPC) describes a method of billing advertising costs which is used in online marketing. The CPC model is used to determine how much an advertiser will actually pay in advertising costs when he chooses a ‘pay per click’ (PPC) payment option.

CPC) is calculated by dividing the total cost of your clicks by the total number of clicks. Your average CPC is based on your actual cost-per-click (actual CPC), which is the actual amount you're charged for a click on your ad. Note that your average CPC might be different than your maximum cost-per-click (max.

The more expensive your product or service, the more your competitors are willing to pay for the click. For example, if you sell a $20,000 product, and your website and sales team can convert one out of every 200 ad clicks into a sale (a . 5% conversion rate), you should be willing to pay $20 per click on your ad.
