Outbound links are links that point from your website to another. They are often used within content to add more context and to link a reader to another source that will add additional and important information to the topic at hand.

Hello,
An outbound link is those types of links that are going to another site from our site. Outbound links are known as outgoing links. By asking you to add that outbound link, we ask you to connect your website to the next website. And that website to the next website. By doing so, we create a web that expands and expands, from one related website to another. We help Google to connect the dots. We help Bing to get insights on what sites or better what pages relate to each other.
Outbound links are links you create, to link to other websites. The reason you do this is that sites with links to high-authority sites (in other words, "good" sites and. to the search engines) can raise your own score...so long as they are directly related to your content.
Your goal with outbound links is to add links to your own content, which are useful to your visitors. A good example would be a blog post that referenced software tools useful to the reader.
Inbound links are links created on other sites that link back to you. In the old days (circa 2002) this is a nasty practice involving link farms, but with the rise of the blogosphere getting a link to your site is extremely valuable. I've seen sites that get most of their traffic from a single Reddit or Quora post mentioning them!
This is helpful to you

Outbound links send visitors away from your web site. Attitudes towards outbound links vary considerably among site owners. Some site owners still link freely. Some refuse to link at all, and some provide links that open in a new browser window.
Opponents of outbound linking argue that it risks losing time and money from site visitors. This can be a large risk if a site is facing high customer acquisition costs.
Proponents argue that providing high quality references actually enhances the value of a site and increases the chance of return visitors.
